It is serial number 51367, made in 1891. All known Lightning with bayonet lugs are within a few hundred numbers of this. It is .44-40 caliber, made to be a companion with a single action in the same caliber. This is a medium frame Lightning, similar to those made for the San Francisco Police Department. No sling swirels are attached. Dimensions: barrel is 27 inches long. Gun overall is 44 inches long. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $55.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Condition: Very good, with minor traces of original blue finish. The stock is good with a number of minor contact marks, although it may have been varnished. Bore is good showing some wear. The metal surfaces are smooth and lettering is mostly crisp except for the barrel address which is faint. This revolver functions properly. The front triggerguard screw and the mainspring tension screw are replacements. The grips are worn smooth and the right panel has some scratches but they rate good and have no chips or cracks.
